I’ll admit, the first time I read Brett Easton Ellis’s novel American Psycho, I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to rip the book in half and chuck it across the room, or give it a five star review on Goodreads and add it to my Favorites. Perhaps a testament to how much of an effect the character Patrick Bateman — who is played to perfection by Christian Bale in the film — had on me.
While there are many ways to master this look, including the clear raincoat and ax fit for only $21 bucks on Amazon, I personally love the visual of Bateman in his typical corporate business suit with blood splattering only one side of his face.

Since everyone and their mother is already going as Pennywise, why not switch it up by dressing as Richie Tozier this Halloween? Although Finn Wolfhard’s character from the Stephen King adaptation serves as much-needed comic relief in the film, his biggest fear — ironically — is clowns.
