13 Funky New Snacks From Classic Brands

13 Funky New Snacks From Classic Brands

From Classic Oreos to spicy Taco Bell, there are tons of food brands that Americans know and love. But that doesn’t mean they don’t crave a startling revamp every now and then. We heard about a few new food products that are trending, and we’re here to tell you all about them.

1. Wendy’s Thin Mints Frosty

The McDonald’s Shamrock Shake has been a beloved, minty frozen treat since 1970. But Wendy’s isn’t willing to let its major rival freeze them out. Although they’re inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies, Wendy’s Thin Mints Frosty isn’t green like a Shamrock Shake, which is a bummer. But it still has that refreshing, sweet flavor and cookie crunch. And unlike the Shamrock Shake, you can get it with vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

2. Oreo Double Chocolate Cakesters

If you’re the type of person to peel the Oreos apart and only eat the vanilla frosting, Oreo’s Double Chocolate Cakesters are not for you. They’re all about the cocoa, giving you the spongy cakes with chocolate frosting sandwiched in between. They offer a soft reprieve from the typical crunch of Oreos. Maybe not everybody’s cup of cookie, but we’re all about it.

3. Lay’s All Dressed Chips

This one is a bit much, but we’re game to try anything Lay’s puts on shelves. After a lifetime of perfect potato chips, they’ve certainly earned our trust. Lay’s All Dressed Chips are an amalgamation of the most beloved Lay’s flavors – think Barbecue, Salt and Vinegar, and Sour Cream and Onion. They have that vinegar tanginess, barbecue sweetness, and zesty onion – yummmmmm.

4. Taco Bell’s Milk Bar Birthday Cake Churros

Milk Bar joined forces with Taco Bell to create these celebratory Birthday Cake Churros. But you can only get them on your birthday. Kidding! These confetti-topped, cinnamony logs – a sweet twist on a Mexican classic — will make every day feel like your birthday. They’re packed with birthday cake frosting in the center, blending that creaminess with the crispiness of delish churros.

5. Bojangles’ Bo-Berry Cobbler

Here’s the secret you’ve been waiting for… Bojangles just dropped a dessert that’s about to steal your heart. The Bo-Berry Cobbler is a sweet combo of buttermilk biscuit, berry compote, and a sugary icing drizzle. This surprising dessert is more indulgent than the OG biscuit treat, perfect for a treat-yourself moment. Simply scrumptious, darlings!

6. Doritos Golden Sriracha Chips

Doritos has played around with sriracha flavors for years, esp. the Screamin’ Sriracha. But the Golden Sriracha Chips have a fresh, fiery vibe. They combine the bold flavors of yellow and green sriracha sauces, which are hot and sweet at the same time. They’re uber-tangy and aren’t far off from the Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos. Are they crazy unique? No. Are they delicious? Hell yes.

7. General Mills Heart-Shaped Cheerios

Cheerios has always branded itself as the heart-healthy cereal, so forming the O-shaped pieces into Heart-Shaped Cheerios is perfection. It still brings a smile to our faces to see one of our favorite breakfast staples in this familiar shape. This is a limited edition offering, so grab the lovey-dovey cereal before it’s gone!

8. Paris Baguette Spring Menu

Who doesn’t love Paris in the Springtime? But we love Paris Baguette even more. Our mouths are already watering over their latest new seasonal treats, and this spring is no different. It’s going to be a Nutella Spring™, with five new Nutella-focused menu items: Croissant Donut with Nutella, Pizzetta with Strawberry & Nutella, Chocolate Hazelnut Cake with Nutella, Chocolate Hazelnut Cake Slice with Nutella, and hot or iced Chocolate Hazelnut Latte with . . . you guessed it: Nutella!

You can check out the Croissant Crisps – flattened croissants with various fillings. TBH, we’re on the fence about it — but let us know, please! To each their own, but we like our croissants plump and fluffy — not crunchy and squashed! The Paris Baguette menu additions continue. How bout a Cherry Cheese Danish, Buffalo Chicken Quiche, or a Watermelon Lemonade Refresher.

9. First Watch Seasonal Toast Dishes

First Watch is a distinct breakfast chain that offers whimsical drinks like Purple Haze Lemonade and Butterfly Flower Tea, and upscale breakfasts, like the Power Wrap or Sunrise Granola Bowl. The company recently introduced seasonal toast dishes! For summer 2025, they’re giving us Parmesan Prosciutto Toast and Raspberry Ricotta French Toast — something salty and something sweet. These are indulgent and piled high with fresh toppings.

10. Pepperidge Farm Milano White Chocolate Cookies

Milano Cookies can do no wrong, and Pepperbridge Farm just added three more flavors to the roster. First, let’s talk about the Milano White Chocolate Coconut Cookies. The white chocolate gives the cookies a sweeter, smoother flavor than traditional Milanos. And when coconut enters the chat with its nutty bite, that flavor belongs on the beach.

The Lemon White Chocolate flavor profile is just as light and luxe as it sounds. Lastly, P-Farm rounded out its latest collection with Strawberry White Chocolate Milano Cookies – taste like strawberry shortcake, but with a delightful crunch.

11. Coca-Cola Simply Pop Prebiotic Soda

In case you haven’t heard, Olipop and Poppi are making massive moves in the beverage and soda space. These prebiotic soda brands are cutting down the sugar and calories, so you can enjoy fizzy flavors without the unhealthy stuff. Well, Coca-Cola saw the competition and refused to let them steal their slice of the sodapop pie. So, now you can try this iconic company Simply Pop Prebiotic Soda. It comes in five flavors: Lime, Pineapple Mango, Strawberry, Fruit Punch, and Citrus Punch.

12. Drumstick We Love Peanut Butter Sundae Cones

Drumstick ice cream cones are a true nostalgic treat, with toppings that turn a simple cone into a portable sundae! Nestle just introduced a delightful treat we’ve been waiting for our entire lives — We Love Peanut Butter Sundae Cones. Normally, the ice cream core is fudge or caramel. But, hey-hey-hey Drumstick now does peanut butter!

13. Mocha + Chocolate KitKats

Nestlé isn’t done fulfilling our dreams just yet! For all you caffeine connoisseurs out there, the American confectioner just dropped a KitKat flavor. Get ready for the new Mocha KitKat! The invention was born out of Nestle’s coffee brand, Nescafe. You get the crispy wafer and chocolate filling you adore, with a silky, coffee-flavored chocolate coating. Because KitKat + coffee = the perfect break!

Temporary Goodies?

A few products here are seasonal items or limited releases. Others will soon be supermarket staples. But there’s no way to know for sure. If you want to try ‘em, be sure you do it soon, in case they vanish!
