Every month, I’m surprised by how much I spend on things like coffee and Uber. It’s always more than I think, those small purchases really start to add up. Lately I’ve been trying to be more spend-conscious, so I was looking for a way to make my money go further without giving up my coffee addiction or my Uber habits. Recently, I discovered this fun app that completely changed the way I view my daily coffee runs, it’s called Drop.

Drop is an app that lets me earn points on everyday purchases from places like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Wal-Mart, Trader Joe’s and even Uber. Basically how it works is – you choose five retailers from the app, then every time you make a purchase at one of them, you get points. When you earn enough, you can redeem them for gift cards at any major retailer available on Drop (and believe me, there are a lot!).

To get started, download the app, create an account, and link your credit or debit cards. The more cards you link, the more rewards you can earn. Drop uses the same financial encryption software that your bank uses on their internet and app platforms, so your personal information is kept safe, and Drop will never ask for your card or account number. Drop has also been verified by DigiCert, the leading online security provider.

All I have to do is use my cards like I normally would, and the points start rolling in. It’s that simple. Drop even sends me offers for stores I love so I can earn more points outside of my five main stores. Whether you’re buying diapers, dresses, or donuts, Drop makes sure you’re getting a little something back every time you swipe your card at your favorite brands.

With Drop, I don’t even have to think about it, I earn without doing anything differently. I’ve already started using my points – my regular coffee trips tend to add up pretty quickly. The hardest part is choosing where I want to redeem. Drop is making my coffee breaks worth every trip!
