Best Halloween Makeup Looks

Girl, you’re gonna look scarily good this spooky season when you break out your adorable Halloween costume. And although you’ve got your outfit narrowed down, you’re gonna want to match your costume with some spot-on makeup. This way, there will be no doubt about who or what you’re supposed to be dressed as.

Whether you’re thinking of going as Glinda the Good Witch, Wednesday Adams, Jennifer Check, or something else entirely, this list will offer everything you need to get your look juuusst right.

Ready to have some fun? Grab your makeup palettes and powder brushes, ladies, and let’s get blendin!

Audrey Hepburn - Breakfast At Tiffany’s

Alexa, blast Moon River.

It’s no secret that Audrey Hepburn’s beauty and grace is utterly timeless. Her classic beauty stands the test of time, and so does her warmth that simply radiates from our screens.

One of the defining features that made the Roman Holiday actress internationally famous is her doe-eyes. Hepburn’s eyes convey innocence, curiosity, and an inviting nature.

To achieve Hepburn’s doe-eyed look with makeup, grab your favorite white eyeshadow and apply it to your whole lid. (Be sure not to get any of the white on your lashes.)

Once finished, contour the look by applying a dark brown shade to your crease. (This step is essential since the 60s starlet had very prominent contours to her crease.)

I like to use Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Palettea must-have for all makeup loverswhich I nabbed on Amazon Prime for only $33 bucks.

You can use as dark a shade for your crease as you’re comfortable with. But for the most dramatic effect, I like to apply the “primal” shade to the crease. If you really want to go all out, add the “Undone” shade to the crease, concentrating on the corner closest to your nose.

But we’re not done! To truly narrow down the doe-eyed aesthetic, grab a white eyeliner pencil. (This will be your best friend for a handful of these makeup looks.) Gently apply the white along your waterline, as well as your tear duct. This will make your eyes appear so wide, you’ll look like a Disney princess.

Add your favorite wispy lashes to the Amazon cartnothing too thickand voila! Talk about stylish.

Since the eyes are the signature element here, go subtle with the rest of the face. Your favorite foundation will do just fine, along with some light contours on the sides of your face and under the chin to achieve Hepburn’s enviable jawline.

For the lips, it’s best to keep it inconspicuous. I like this coral lip shade from Sephora, which reminds me of the shade Audrey wears throughout the film.

Wednesday Addams - Wednesday

Here’s another doe-eyed beauty. Portrayed to perfection by Jenna Ortega, we’re inspired to emulate her look by replicating her strikingly large eyes and pouty lips.

To do this, follow the steps listed above with white eyeshadow to the lid, as well as white eyeliner pencil drawn along the waterline as well as the tear duct. Don’t be afraid to go hard with the mascara, since Ortega’s got some seriously lush lashes. Don’t forget to coat the bottom lashes. Finish it up by adding a saturated layer to the crease using your preferred dark shadow.

As far as the lips go, we want to go with a more dramatic shade. It looks so gorgeous and gothic, blending together in a close to violet shade. For the precise look that Wednesday wears in the Netflix series, blend Dr. Paw Paw balm with M.A.C’s Nightmoth lip pencilfound right here on Amazon Prime.

Of course, you must use your favorite foundation as the base for the look, and you’re ready to go! Be sure to practice your Wednesday Addams dance movesthis step is a must.

Emily Cooper - Emily in Paris

Don’t you guys just love Lily Collins’ look in Emily in Paris? My bestie is going as Emily this Halloween, and she recently texted me asking how she can achieve the look. I told her that the number one thing she needsbefore the funky outfits and the stylish heelswas a good ol’ eyebrow pencil.

It’s not exactly a secret that Ms. Lily Collins has the best eyebrows in Showbiz. Lily’s striking eyebrows are her standout feature, so it’s essential to incorporate a bold eyebrow aesthetic to get the look just right. I like Maybelline’s Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil in Soft Brown.

For the eye makeup, Ms. Emily Cooper is yet another doe-eyed queen. Concentrate on a light color for the lid to really make the eyes pop, followed by a darker shade to contour the crease. Grab your white eyeliner pencil (you saw this coming, didn’t you?) and apply it to the waterline/crease.

For the lips, Collins uses a variety of lavish shades over the course of the series. Yet my personal favoriteand the one I’ve been seeing most on her latelyis a luscious wine-colored hue….as though Cooper’s been sipping a glass of merlot while soaking in La Ville Lumière.  Palladio’s Velvet Wine shade is sumptuous and only $8.99 on Amazon Prime.

Maddy Perez - Euphoria

Let’s take a break from the doe-eyed look for just a sec and focus on the siren eyes within you that are waiting to bust out. Maddy Perez has always enchanted her peers at Euphoria high with her enviable confidence, daring outfits, and spellbinding looks.

A part of her charm certainly comes from the makeup she sports throughout the HBO series. And although Alexa Demie’s character features several makeup aesthetics, her most iconic look is her alluring siren eyes.

Unlike doe eyeswhich give off innocencesiren eyes indicate a foxy, vixen-like vibe.

To achieve Maddy’s look, apply brown eyeshadow to the upper lash line. Next, you’re gonna want to draw an upward curve over the outer corner of the eye using the same brown eyeshadow. Grab your handy dark eyeliner. Apply the liner to the middle of your eyeyes, the middleand extend it outwards with an upward tilt at the end. Then, it’s time to blend-blend-blend, like your life depends on it — because it does, darling.

Use a liquid liner with a felt tip to apply near the tear duct. Once you’re done, go on and apply your thickest mascara. To complete the look, spice it up with these eye gems/pearls, and bam! Time to break some hearts.

Jennifer Check - Jennifer’s Body

*Sigh* If only there was a specific contour kit or lip liner to help us look exactly like Megan Fox. But until then, we can get close enough to her look as seen in Jennifer’s Body with the following:

In this film, Jennifer Check has beautiful, sultry lips. Depending on the scene, she switches up with the shades, but we see her most often with a simple baby-pink lip gloss. Try High Shine Shea Butter Gloss in Baby Cakes by L.A. COLORS. Finish off the lips by using Too Faced Lip Injection Maximum Plump to get Jennifer’s plump lip look.

For the eyes, go simple here, with something light for the lid along with a super thin layer of dark eyeliner. Since we’re not doing too much here, it’s okay to go crazy with the mascara since Fox’s lashes are enviably long.

Don’t forget to apply foundation to get Jennifer’s perfect skin. I like this foundationfound on Amazon Primesince it achieves Fox’s practically airbrushed look.

Elaine - The Love Witch

Have you guys seen the indie horror film The Love Witch? I just watched it recently with my bestie, and we were blown away by the vintage cinematography. We also couldn’t shut up for weeks about Samantha Robinson’s captivating performance, topped off by her breathtaking makeup.

The film’s makeup design serves as an homage to and echoes the whimsical feel of the 1960s and 70s. Samantha Robinson’s character, Elaine, absolutely slays with her pastel eyeshadow. They’re practically characters in their own right, varying from blue to purple and a lovely pale green.

But her most significant color in the film is a deep blue shade. It contrasts so nicely with her dark brown eyes and inky black hair. To get the right color, I personally like the “As You Wish” blue eyeshadow palette by MAKI YIKA.

You can have fun blending the colors as you wish (hee-hee) but I personally like blending sea and wisdom shades. Use sea on the lid and wisdom on top for a bewitching look identical to Elaine’s.

Top it off with some deep brown winged eyeliner, followed by a flashy pair of vintage-styled false lashes. This spellbinding look is sure to break a heart or two, so onlookers better watch out.

Nina Sayers - Black Swan

Another spectacular look you can achieve this Halloween can be found with Natalie Portman’s White Swan look. As in the Swan Lake ballet, the white swan represents innocence and youthful beauty.

Apply light foundation all over the face, then grab the lightest concealer you can find to apply underneath the eyes. This will give you that winter cold aesthetic that gives Portman that ice queen look.

Use brown eyeshadow and apply it to the crease, blending in an outwards motion. Then add shimmery white to the lid so you can master the doe-eyed aesthetic Portman has been rocking since the 90s.

To achieve the glittery shimmer, feel free to go full out by adding a sparkly highlighter to the lid as well. Using a blue eyeliner, go ahead and apply a thin cat’s eye. Nothing too harsh, as this will eliminate the wide-eyed look you’re working so hard to achieve! Coat your lashes with mascara, and finish it off with face gems applied subtly beneath the eyes.
